Typical Mac User Podcast Forum: Even Microsoft is a Mac

They've been using Titanium G4's in their ads for years - good to see they stopped just pasting a Windows screenshot on top.

Cool , I love learning things.

It's a PowerBook G4, which makes it even funnier.

Good catch Rose. You coming to the EXPO man!

that's just some stock photograph they bought, it's an old PowerBook, notice the lack of iSight camera in the bezel (there's the latch for the screen instead).

My guess is it looks like the screen was just photoshopped onto the the computer.

Most likely it's just a picture the add company they hired to do the work bought for use in the ad.

You guys are so much smarter than me, but like I said it was early AM. Thanks for commenting.

Looks like Goatman is right about it being a Powerbook and right about it being photoshopped because I doubt virtualisation software runs well enough, if at all, on the old Powerbook.

It's still funny to see this. What does it say about Microsoft? Doing it cheap (or lazy) by using Stock photography, and of course it implies the hardware for the Windows system is not good enough!

I had a quick look round, didn't find the one they used but found these two, neither are a Mac, yet that is what Microsoft chose. Clearly there is a preference at Microsoft for Mac!

Thanks Ian I agree now that I see it with my eyes open. It's still a Mac and I still laughed.

That's not a vmware icon victor, that's the Office Logo.

The Office Suite for the Mac has been available for quite sometime. With Office 2008 for the Mac recently becoming available I'm not at all surprised that they chose a Mac for the advertisement. It's a great way to raise awareness among Mac owning students that Office is an option.
