That's not a serious suggestion by the way, lolz. They are 2 different enviroments and everyone enjoys them for what they are.
And hey I agree would be nice to see hwere your heading occasionally :-)

Re: Victor’s Mino Thoughts 6/23/2008

Excellent point. Thanks for engaging us listeners and treating us more as colleagues than "fans" or "followers."

Re: Victor’s Mino Thoughts 6/23/2008

Victor, what you said in this video is what is true about most people. I don't think its necessarily an ego thing, but perhaps more the need to feel connected and be proud of what you do and have others acknowledge that. You said to Jane its not about having your work acknowledged, but I think it is. We all have that need somewhere. Mostly with what we are passionate about the most, and that is your podcast. Anyway, a lot of what you have said, I totally agree with. I see we have a lot in common. So perhaps that is another thing, to see how much one self has in common with the rest of the world / your listeners.

Re: Victor’s Mino Thoughts 6/23/2008

hi Victor,

I enjoyed the video, I really enjoy what you do because you make a priority to connect with everybody

Malcolm

Re: Victor’s Mino Thoughts 6/23/2008

Hi victor,

I enjoyed this video also

Of all the podcaster I listen to you to be the most willing to reach out to your audience, and not just treat people like numbers but individuals, and I for one really appreciate that.

Malcolm

Re: Victor’s Mino Thoughts 6/23/2008

Thanks for the comments Jane. It's not so much about "me" being acknowledge; although that is nice. It's about getting a conversation going through comments and interaction in shows, blogs etc. The momentum is very hard sometimes, because like everything else in life there are Saturdays when I wake up and say... what the heck to I talk about that all the other awesome podcasters have not covered already. Thanks for the good words Jane.

Re: Victor’s Mino Thoughts 6/23/2008

Thanks it's great to hear what other think about all of this (not just me) but thanks.

Re: Victor’s Mino Thoughts 6/23/2008

I really like the fact that you communicate with the listeners of the show. I think that out of the 40+ podcasts that I am subscribed to that you do the best job of posting the information that you have learned from other Mac geeks on the TMU podcast or the Mino / youtube videos. You show is just another avenue of where I learn and get my information. I am a member of several forums myself and I occasionally ask a question but most of the time I enjoy answering questions asked by others. I love solving problems and helping out others that may not know as much as I do. I am not arrogant about it i just enjoy helping and I think that you Victor are the same way. I consider you a down to earth guy that loves learning and sharing that knowledge with others. That's my $.02 on your thoughts for the day.

Re: Victor’s Mino Thoughts 6/23/2008

enjoyed today's Mino Thoughts. You say you get very few comments per number of TMU listeners, I guess this a reflection of today's "entertain me" mentality, we sit back and enjoy the content but it takes effort to respond (in a constructive way), I'm as guilty as everyone else of that :-) But i understand your desire to be acknowledged and to engage in a conversation of sorts with your audience. I often wonder how podcasters keep the momentum going, but with 6000 listeners to your TMU podcasts you're obviously providing a very much appreciated source of Mac knowledge and entertainment. As the oft used phrase goes... keep up the great work!

Re: Victor’s Mino Thoughts 6/23/2008

All's good Victor...
