I use iWeb for my family blog. It was much easier then sending e-mails and photos. I started my manners website on iWeb, and used cyberduck to upload it to my URL. iWeb loses alot of features (comment being the most important) when you don't use .mac hosting, so I had to start using wordpress. I really think iWeb is great way to start for people that want a simple site, or who knows nothing about web design (that was me just 3 months ago). Apple again makes things easy for the masses, but the trade off is some features are missing. I'll have to check out spore, and I won't link my iWeb site because it's more of a family site. Since my other site isn't on iWeb anymore I won't link it either.

Jane, I am in England and a GoDaddy customer. I asked via email if I can be a customer living outside the US and they said yes, anywhere in the world. So I got my credit / debit card out and in 5 mins I was done.

Hey Victor,
I have used iWeb to setup a site for the wife's Real Estate business and also for one for sharing vids and pic for co-workers. What I would like to know is if there is a way to use the podcast features in iWeb to point to my podcast feed on Libsyn? I, like you, use WordPress for my hosted account but would really like to switch back to iWeb as my "development/posting" tool.
So you want some video responses, well I do have a little Sanyo Xacti 720HD, I'll give it a try for my next comment..

Just try it, you have nothing to lose Jane. Of course TypePad and WP are great but why not play with the idea on iWeb.

I think it's just a form factor thing and the fact that this has rechargeable batteries like the iPhone. To me the form factor is cool, I hang it around my neck on a lanyard.

I've been thinking about starting a blog but I have absolutely no experience of creating a blog or website. I have been considering the TypePad or Wordpress route but I will listen to your latest podcast on iWeb and give that some thought. Allison Sheridan told of her experience with using GoDaddy's hosting in her latest "Podcast on Podcasting", but I don't know if I can use their hosting services from here in Australia?

Just an example of how one can make great use of the pre-made layouts with basic tweaks such as replacing images (just like Victor talked about).

I am in the web development business. I sometimes use iWeb to put a quick site together to share design layouts and wireframes with a customer. The sites we build are more sophisticated than iWeb can handle, but Its a handy tool for these type of things.
